Amy Kelly met with several students and instructors of the free youth Ballroom Dance Class held Saturday mornings in Stansbury Park. They explain how the class was started and demonstrate several of the dances they are learning. You can find their group on facebook and learn more about it.
Amy Kelly met with two Tooele High School students and learned about the autism awareness fundraising activity they will be doing at the school. They will also help the other students learn more about autism.
Melanie Chacon met with Amy Bate of the Tooele County Health Dept and learned about the new With Help Comes Hope suicide prevention awareness campaign. This will be a community partnership that will include resources from the county, city, school district, private foundations, and the general public. An early morning lantern launch, a 5K race, and a press conference was held.
