Amy Kelly met with Liz Stone and learned about the Tooele County Healthy Homesteader's Group that she leads. They had an open house where the public was invited to come and learn about homesteading skills such as gardening, herbs, small animal care, beekeeping, etc. They welcome new group members. Amy Kelly met with Harry Shinton and learned about the Friends of the Children's Justice Center and how they are raising funds for the Center. They sponsor several fundraising activities throughout the year such as the Black Tie Blue Jean event that will be held in November.
Amy Kelly attended the annual 4-H Fashion Show and Exhibit Expo and saw the wide array of projects made by the talented young people in our county.
