On May 18, the Live Fit Tooele County Coalition sponsored a Wellness Celebration at the Deseret Peak Complex. There were information and activity booths, and fun games too. Paytyn Squires Fundraiser at Excelsior Academy
Amy Kelly met with the organizers of a fundraiser held at Excelsior Academy for 5 year old Paytyn Squires who is receiving treatment for a very aggressive form of cancer. There was a bake sale, contest giveaways, zumba class, and self-defense training. You can still donate at: www.PaytynsArmy.org

Live Fit Summer Walking Challenge 2013
Melanie Chacon met with Malaena Toohey and learned about a fun way to help you get moving this summer. Just walk or run a marathon between May 19 and Aug 20 and you can enter to win some great prizes. You can walk by yourself, or with family and friends. You can walk while exploring Tooele trails and parks to make it more fun.

Abi McNeill: Miss Tooele County 2012
Chante Wouden talked with Abi McNeill about her experiences while serving as Miss Tooele County 2012. Her platform is "Remembering Patriotism" which encourages each of us to be better citizens of this great nation and help each other. Also, Tyler Egan talked with Abi right after the pageant where she was selected as Miss Tooele County.

Introducing the New Grantsville City Library
Chante Wouden met with Grantsville City Mayor Brent Marshall and Library Director John Ingersoll and learned about the new library. The library is a "monument to communication" according to the mayor as he tells the story of how it came to be. John tells about the many resources available at the library that extends far beyond the books on the shelves.

Stockton 150th Anniversary Celebration
Stockton was founded 150 years ago, and has several events planned to celebrate its history this summer. Chante Wouden met with Mayor Mark Whitney and Committee Chair Lela Anderson and learned about the upcoming events. Stockton has the distinction of the first place in Utah to have electricity and telephones.
